If you are at all curious about the production of coffee, chocolate, and sugarcane in Costa Rica, then this is the tour for you! It’s located on a local, family-owned farm just 5 minutes from the center of La Fortuna. They have tours during the mornings and afternoons, so it’s a perfect place to stop when visiting the area for a unique educational and cultural experience.

During the tour, you’ll participate in an easy walk around the farm and visit different stations to learn the entire process for how coffee and chocolate is grown, harvested, and then processed into the final product. This is truly an interactive tour that will allow you to smell, taste, and participate in the production process. The guides are top notch and known for being super passionate and knowledgable about the whole process.

It is very accessible to get to the farm via car, but you can also organize a shuttle to pick you up from anywhere in the La Fortuna area. There are various time slots throughout the morning and afternoon that you can reserve a spot, and each tour lasts about 2-2.5 hours. After the tour, you can visit their gift shop to buy the delicious coffee and chocolate that you sampled during the tour.
