This beachfront camping spot is located along Playa Cedros on the southeastern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula. Located just 15 minutes south of Montezuma, it is the perfect convenient stop for a private ocean view and peaceful night of camping.

The site includes spaces under the palm trees for parking and setting up camp on a nice gray sand rocky beachfront, offering a calm, quiet atmosphere and spectacular views of the sunrise over the ocean. Each camping spot is very well maintained and has a table, sink and chairs, with nearby access to bathrooms and showers.

The beach is rocky, so it’s best to have good shoes if you want to explore or swim in the ocean. The campsite is located about 20 meters from the Lajas River, which has clear natural pools to swim in. In addition, the campsite is walking distance from the small town of Cabuya, which has several local restaurants and cafe options and a small grocery store.

This is a convenient spot for enjoying all the surrounding attractions, as it is a short ways visit from the Montezuma Waterfall and the natural refuges of Reserva Curú and Cabo Blanco. In addition, it is about 40 minutes from Santa Teresa Beach and just 15 minutes from Montezuma, so it’s a nice peaceful location to stop and rest with quick access to these busy touristy towns.
