This is a private beachfront property located on the southern coast of Guanacaste, about halfway between Samara and Manzanillo. It is situated right off the coast of Playa San Miguel, a remote, non-touristy beach with perfect conditions for beginner surfers.
The campsite is located on a nice shady plot under the palm trees right in front of the beach for easy access to the waves. Showers and restrooms are available, and there is access to open common areas with hammocks, woodcraft tables, and a kitchen.
The beach gets long during low tide and is almost never crowded. This is also a popular nesting spot for sea turtles, so you’ll have the chance to spot them during the nesting season, which runs from August – November.
The property is owned by Eddy, a nice Italian surf enthusiast who moved to Costa Rica and fell in love with the country and its people. He offers surf lessons for beginners, so it’s the ideal spot if you’re looking to learn some basic surfing techniques.
