Pineapple Creek Camping

In Pavones, on the remote south Pacific coast of Puntarenas, Pineapple Creek Camping is a simple, quiet site located about a 15-20 minute walk from the point where the famous Pavones left-hand wave breaks, considered one of the longest in the world. Waves run all along the beach beside the campground. The property is fenced and includes covered spots for tents plus plenty of room for van-style vehicles, along with clean bathrooms and a shower. A kitchen is also available for a small extra fee. Bananas and pineapples grow within the grounds, and there's a tilapia pond, a natural pool, and a small freshwater creek with a picnic spot next to the beach. The owner, of American origin, is a surfboard shaper, which gives the place a genuine character tied to the area's surf culture. It's a remote, lightly traveled destination, ideal for those seeking a beach experience without the comforts of a conventional campground.

Note:

there’s a freshwater creek, a tilapia pond and a natural pool within the fenced property.
