This rustic campsite is located along the northern Guanacaste coast, about 30 minutes south of Tamarindo. It’s just 75 meters away from Playa Avellanas, making it the perfect camping spot for intermediate level surfers looking to take advantage of the stellar surfing conditions that this area is famous for.

The campsite is located in a pleasant open area with shade cover from the trees. The atmosphere is friendly with local surfer vibes, and after a day of surfing you can hang out in the covered outdoor seating areas with benches and hammocks. They also have access to an outdoor kitchen, showers and bathrooms.

The property is owned by a friendly local couple named Omar and Dalma, who will be there to assist you with anything you need. Omar is known to be the best surfer on the beach and offers surf lessons for those looking to improve their surfing skills.

On weekends it can get a bit crowded due to it’s popularity among surfing enthusiasts, but it’s still worth the visit if you’re looking for a quaint campsite close to the surf.
