This simple, small rural farm campsite is the half way point between the Caribbean coast and the Northern and South/Central Highlands. It is the perfect place to stay when traveling to the Caribbean side to split up the trip and get a peaceful night of rest.
The campsite includes designated spots to set up camp throughout the large property, with access to water, electricity, and local fruit trees. Once you’ve gotten settled, there is plenty to do, with opportunities to explore the area for wildlife and visit the farm animals (cows, chickens, sheep, and goats!), cool off at the swimming pool and jacuzzi, or visit the local restaurant. The property is located along a small creek, so you’ll have a constant relaxing background noise of running water throughout the night.
The owner, Adrian, doesn’t speak much English, but he is a wonderful friendly guy who cooks the old fashioned way. The restaurant prices are very reasonable and the cuisine is a local traditional Costa Rican BBQ style food using all local ingredients. He is an incredible cook and the food is highly recommended!
This campsite is approximately 2.5 hours away from most nice Caribbean beaches, 45 minutes from the Sarapiqui Forest area, and about 1.15 hours from La Fortuna.
