This campsite is located on a family-owned restaurant property about 20 min from the center of Santa Elena. It’s a beautiful and private spot, perfect if you want to feel immersed in nature but with quick access to a delicious local restaurant and a short drive from the many attractions of Monteverde.

The campground is located on a large plot of land behind the restaurant, with access to camping spots among the trees, along a small creek, or on large open spots with a wonderful view of the Monteverde area. The restrooms and showers are well maintained, and as a bonus they offer hot water showers, which is a luxury during the chilly mornings typical of the cloud forest. They also offer spots to set up a bonfire and a laundry service if needed.

This a great place to visit with small children, as there are many toys and games in the restaurant for a night of entertainment. The small creek has nice natural pools for a freshwater swim, and the property also has a small pond that attracts ducks and other water birds.

The campsite is run by a local family who are super welcoming and will be ready to assist you with anything you need. They are really knowledgable about the area and can give you the best tips about what to do during your visit. You can coordinate with them to eat at the restaurant at any time of the day for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or afternoon coffee – they cook using family recipes and local ingredients so the food is guaranteed to be delicious.
