Located just 2 kilometers off the southeastern end of Lake Arenal in the small village of La Castillo, this incredible campsite has the best view of the Arenal Volcano in the La Fortuna area due to its 270 degrees view point location.

The campsite is located on a secluded hilltop right on the edge of the rain forest. You will have toucans and howler monkeys as your neighbors, and the elevated location allows for comfortable weather conditions with low humidity and a slight breeze. The facilities are clean and there is a shelter with a stove, toilets and showers.

The campsite has access to two short trails that lead to the nearby river and a hidden waterfall, ideal for bird watching on an early morning hike. In addition, you will have easy access to Lake Arenal, which has water activities such as kayaking, fishing, and boat cruises. It’s about a 25 minute drive from the town of La Fortuna town.
