Camping Isla Palo Seco

This private beachfront camping is in the perfect central location between the two popular beach towns of Jaco, known for its stellar surfing and night life, and Quepos, known for Manuel Antonio National Park. It’s an ideal hidden location for those looking for a relaxed night on the beach away from the busy tourist hot spots on the Central Pacific coast.

The campsite is located on an isolated sand outlet with one way access along the shore through the mangroves. You’ll be right under the coconut palms with stunning views of the sunset on the right side of the beach. The parking area is located on a natural grass carpet, and the vast open area offers plenty of privacy even with other campers around.

There are basic facilities like restrooms and showers just a few steps from the beach, and you can walk along the long Palo Seco beach to visit local restaurants called “sodas” for a some delicious and fresh typical food. Take the opportunity to explore the area to experience the chill local beach vibes and live music from local musicians.

Note:

It’s recommended that you avoid getting there after sundown, and consider that it can get a bit busy during the high season (November – February).
