This hot springs hotel property, located about an hour to the east of Liberia airport, is in a rural location that is much less visited than the touristy hot springs attractions of Costa Rica. Located in a valley between the Miravalles and Ricon de la Vieja volcanoes, it’s a unique spot where you can enjoy hot springs, visit waterfall hikes, and explore active volcano trails away from the crowds.

The property has a large open green areas surrounded by trees where you can set up camp under the shade and with a direct view of the Miravalles Volcano. You’ll have access to designated areas for bonfires, all the proper facilities including water and electricity, and use of the hot springs until 9:00pm. They also have a restaurant with typical Costa Rica cuisine and a Pizzeria if you want to grab a bite to eat.

This area is surrounded by hikes and viewpoints where you can enjoy the unique ecosystem of the volcano valley. You can speak to the hosts about some suggestions for nearby guided hikes, or you can go on your own and explore the nearby tails and rural towns for their local food and markets.
