This campsite is located right on the edge of an extinct volcano currently turn into a lagoon hidden deep into the forest, part of the central volcanic line of our country, after a steep up uphill on a secondary road you will arrive to a tiny village where a few houses where built on the edge of this ancient volcanic formation

The lagoon name is “Laguna Hule” and there is a trail of 1 km into the forest from the campsite to access the lagoon. There is also the chance to do kayaking, you have just to coordinate with the camping owners

The Rio Cuarto town, a small Costa Rican town is located at just 15 minutes driving, there you can find all services like fuel stations, groceries and restaurants known as “Sodas” specialized on traditional Costa Rican food. There are several waterfalls and hikes close by like ‘Toro Waterfall” you can visit and even hot springs near by at “Recreo Verde” and at “Termales del Bosque”, this one is rather simple and out of the felling of being a to touristy attraction
