This is a nice isolated beachfront campsite located at the eastern end of the Nicoya Peninsula, about 18 km south of the Paquera ferry arrival dock. It is a great spot to enjoy a relaxed night of camping away from touristy areas with access to calm waters and beautiful views of the ocean.

The camping area is located along Playa Pochote, a nice gray-pink sand beach with calm waves perfect for swimming with small children. Each campsite includes a covered area with access to a power outlet and a light. The area is surrounded by almond trees, which attract parrots and howler monkeys who like to hang out among the treetops.

This campsite is perfect for hanging out and walking along the beach, which opens up wide during low tide. In the evenings you’ll be able to watch the sunset off to the right side of the horizon. The beach is walking access from a small local grocery store if you want to stock up on snacks for your trip.
