Located in between Santa Teresa and Mal Pais on the southeastern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, this is the perfect spot for a peaceful night of camping away from the busy town area. The beachfront campsite is known for its beautiful ocean view and natural swimming pools.
The campsite has spots to set up camp right on the sand under the almond trees looking out towards the ocean. The waves are strong, but low tide reveals the rocky ocean floor which creates natural tidal pools for swimming and spotting sea life.
This camping spot is conveniently located nearby the famous surf towns of Santa Teresa and Montezuma. Santa Teresa can be visited in a 10 minute drive by car, or you can walk along a path on the beach to get there. You’ll also have the chance to visit the Cabo Blanco Wildlife Refuge at the tip of the peninsula, where you can go on a light hike in the dry forest that leads to a secluded beach only accessible by foot.
